THE OLD ENTRANCE
to the Aspirus General Clinic
is officially closed and is now a construction zone.
The canopy was demolished in November and Miron
Construction has begun the addition and remodel of the
General Clinic.
All hospital and clinic patients and visitors now
enter through the main entrance of the hospital and
drive in on the east side of the building off of Langlade
Road. Patients and visitors will be met at the entrance
by friendly staff and volunteers. The use of the General
Clinic parking lot will be limited to medical staff and
authorized vehicles.
The first floor of the two-story addition on the
west side of the clinic will be occupied by Aspirus
Cardiovascular Associates (ACVA). The addition is
slated to open in the fall of 2013 with three or four
exam rooms, physician offices and a reception area.
Upon completion, the ACVA physicians, who currently
have office hours and see patients in the St. Joseph
Outpatient Center, will be able to plan for increasing
their presence in Antigo and expand the cardiology
services available to our patients.
The physicians from ACVA represent the cardiology
practice of the Aspirus Heart and Vascular Institute
and share a commitment to heart care in the Antigo
area. Because ACVA is part of the Aspirus System,
patients have access to heart care resources through a
comprehensive network of physicians and hospitals.
Remodeling of the inside of the General Clinic has
begun, and patients will see new updates soon. The
first-floor lobby and reception area will be remodeled
to provide additional exam rooms, physician space and
restrooms. A new family medicine doctor will join
the team in 2013, and recruitment efforts continue
to provide patients with the best
possible care.
